What Happened When She Said YES?

What Happened When She Said YES?

From the desk of the Denver Love Coach, Gayla Wick

Last week I promised to share some juicy news with you and I am super excited to do so. First, I have my own update to share. My husband and I just celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary! No that’s not the juicy news, but I wanted to remind you this once true love skeptic is still very happily married. Just prior to leaving for our anniversary vacation, I met with a love coaching client who for now, I’m going to call Annie. (I never reveal who my clients are unless they give me permission.) Annie took my program about 2 years ago and wisely decided to continue with my follow-up program. I say wisely because it’s been my experience that clients who stop after the initial 3 month program are often challenged not to fall back into old unproductive thoughts and behaviors. Having a coach can really help to stay on track with the progress they’ve made. So I’m thrilled to announce….. dear love coaching client Annie eloped with her true love!! They were married a few weeks ago among the gorgeous flowers and grapevines in a lovely vineyard. When she told me what they were planning I knew I wanted to share her story with you. She’s been out of town since the wedding, but we’re connecting this week so I can find out the juicy details and hopefully convince her to share with you too. One thing I can tell you is she took my program seriously, did the homework or as I like to call it the discovery work and then committed to staying true to herself. She also made the wise decision to continue love coaching because she recognized the human tendency to fall back into old familiar habits, thoughts and behaviors that didn’t work for her in the past. Can you relate?

What happened when she said yes to herself? She invested in a coach to guide her through feeling unworthy – I’m good enough, etc., said yes to relaxing into her natural authentic self and she let go of expectations deciding to just have fun dating. These are a few really powerful keys to attracting a fabulous love match.

Stay tuned for more on Annie’s journey next week as I hopefully convince her to say more and give you a few tips on how she went from a frustrated single to dating a few guys who did not turn out to be good matches to connecting with a “substantially compatible” healthy, loving man who wants to grow old with her.

P.S. The photo above is one I made from a small piece of driftwood, shells and bits of barrel coral that washed up on the beach we enjoyed on our vacation. Thankfully we both love beach vacations. How about that “V” shaped piece? “We can find love anywhere when we’re tuned in to it.”

See you next week with more from the newly married Annie!!!
