Finding the Love of Your Life

In last month’s teleseminar, Real World Advice from Real Women in Love: Seven Secrets Every Single Woman Needs to Know, I challenged my listeners to suspend any disbelief they may be holding onto regarding the possibility of connecting with the perfect partner for them.  I’m strongly suggesting this strategy because I know how hard it is to believe in the existence of something that has been so elusive. So if you feel it’s too much to ask to deeply and completely believe it’s possible to have the love of your life in a wonderfully satisfying long term relationship or marriage, a good beginning is to move to the neutral position of suspending the disbelief. Doing this begins to create the space and higher energy vibration to allow the manifestation of your heart’s desires.  Remaining in a state of total disbelief is like holding up stop signs to the very thing so desired – true love.

As you know I frequently use the metaphor of a vegetable garden to discuss the law of attraction.  In this instance remaining firmly in the energy of disbelief that true love can be yours is like saying I’d love to grow carrots in my garden, but I’m unwilling to plant the carrot seeds to begin the process. We can wish as hard as we might for carrots to grow in our garden, but we all know it will never happen until we take the first step by preparing the soil and planting the seeds.  Suspending your disbelief works the same way because we must have an open mind to begin the process.  Once our mind is open to the possibilities even a little bit, vital space is created to “plant” the desired results.
